Tasting Note:December 19, 2017

First of the red wines at our tasting at Raats Family Wines with Marika. Light mix of garnet and ruby red. Fresh Pinot nose with notes of freshly broken branches, strawberries, earthy notes and floral. Medium and fresh acidity (6.5/10) and medium bodied. Notes of strawberries, tea, earthy and gravel on the palate. Dry and long finish.

This is made up of 100% Pinot Noir with 10% being whole cluster fermented separately. Aged for 12 to 14 months in neutral French oak barrels.

Drink Dates:

2017 till 2024.
