Light greenish yellow in appearance. Very interesting with onion grass exploding out of the glass followed up by some light herbs and lime. Medium acidity (6/10) and light plus to medium body. Similar flavors on the palate with a slightly creamy medium finish.
Third wine at the Friday Auction Tasting for the Cape Winemakers Guild. This is made of 100% Sauvignon Blanc by Bartho Eksteen from the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. Aged on the lees for 11 months. Only 57 cases produced and only 40 being auctioned in 2018.
