Tasting Note:February 28, 2017
Medium to deep garnet red. A bit of Bret on the nose with musty notes, dirty cellar, and damp leaves. Moderate tannins (6/10) and medium bodied. Definitely tastes like a cooler and wet vintage. Earthy notes, herbaceous and only a touch of berries on the palate. Medium finish.
A Non-Vintage bottling made up from 59% 2012 and 41% 2011. Bordeaux-blend made of 50% Merlot, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot and 4% Malbec. Of the fruit 58% is from the Spring Mountain District and the rest is from the valley floor.
