Super dark ruby red with garnet too. Restrained nose with anise, spices, raspberries, earthiness, and dried cherries. Heavy tannins (7/10) and medium plus to full bodied. Layered with dark cocoa, spices, cherries, and black currants. Very dry and long finish. Looking forward to trying tomorrow.
Bordeaux blend made by Frans Smit from Stellenbosch and Five Star John Platter fruit. Aged for a total of 24 months prior to bottling. Only 172 cases produced with 50 being auctioned in 2016.
