First wine tasted with Wayne at Holden Manz Wine Estate in Franschhoek.
Light greenish yellow in appearance. Very fresh on the nose with some floral and fruity notes like stone fruits, apples and light citrus. Balanced palate with moderate plus acidity (6.5/10) and light plus body. A touch of creaminess on the palate with elegant and clean notes of green apples, citrus zest and minerality in the finish. Medium plus to long finish.
This is the Maiden vintage of this Chenin Blanc from Holden Manz. Aged in 20% French oak, half of which is new. Only 10,000 bottles produced.
