2011 Witchery Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon

Fifth of the blind tasting for Father's Day weekend.
Deep ruby red. A bit dirty to start on the nose with some aged characteristics of forest floor and truffles. Dirtiness wore off with some air, opening up with dusty black fruits, sweet spices, cedar and a little bit of cigar box. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium plus to full bodied. Well rounded and integrated. Rick attack of dark fruits, sweet spices with some solid greenery and damp leaves, but not overpowering. Long finish.
Made by Grant Long Jr. of Aonair Wines. This was enjoyed over a six over period and on day two. Just got better and better. Aged in 75% new French oak and made up of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. Only 100 cases produced (4 barrels) and 14.7% alcohol.
