2014 Philip Togni Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep and dark ruby red. Muted nose, can definitely see the youth in this wine, notes of red mountain berries with some light spices and bark. Heavy tannins (8/10) hit rear palate and full bodied. Layers of red berries, pencil shavings, earthiness, and some spices. Rich and great texture. With more air it gained additional complexity with layers of blackberries, dark cocoa and black currants.
Latest vintage of the Philip Togni Cabernet Sauvignon, made up of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Around 1,600 cases produced.
