Tasting Note:May 25, 2018

Ruby red core with bricking on the edges. Elegant and ripe nose with notes of rose petals, jasmine and ripe raspberries. Tangy acidity on the palate (7/10) and medium bodied. Good amount of spices on the palate with some candied raspberries, strawberries and a touch metallic too in the medium plus to long finish.

Last stop on day one in Sonoma was at Patz & Hall Winery. First red wine is their Pinot Noir from the Moses-Hall Vineyard which is on the Napa side of Carneros. Only 23 barrels produced.
