Dark ruby red. Spiced nose on the attack with some dark fruits, perfume, branches, gravel and black olives. Medium plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Fruitier on the palate than the nose with black berries. Undertones of meat and black olives. Long and dry finish.
Thirty-second wine at the Friday Auction Tasting for the Cape Winemakers Guild and the twenty-first red wine. This is made up of 100% Shiraz by Marc Kent with fruit from two Shiraz vineyards, one from Porseleinberg and one from Stellenbosch. Only 90 cases produced with 50 being auctioned in 2018.
