Dark ruby red with a bit of garnet on the edges. Dark nose with black cherries, dark spices and forest floor. Medium plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Very dry on the palate with dark cassis, earthiness and dark spices. Long and lingering finish.
Third wine in the VIP tasting lounge during the Cape Winemakers Guild Auction and first still red wine. This is made up of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc by Abrie Beeslaar from Simonsberg - Stellenbosch. Aged for a total of 23 months in 100% new French oak. Only 70 cases produced with 50 being auctioned in 2018.
