Tasting Note:August 8, 2017

Deep garnet red. A touch dirty on the attack of the nose with some plums. With some air gained some more complexity with forest floor and sweet spices. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium to medium plus bodied. Needed a little air to open up. Savory on the palate with black pepper, dark berries, toasty, and some dark gravel. More dark berries on day two. A touch of heat in the long finish, but smoothed out.

This is made up of 70% Syrah from the Stoney Vine Vineyard and 30% Grenache from the Art den Hoed Vineyard.
