2012 Quilceda Creek Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley
Tasting Note:August 13, 2017
Fun coravinned tasting for #WAWINEMONTH this Sunday evening.
Deep ruby red, almost purplish. A bit tight on the nose. After 30 minutes in the glass this came out thick and rich with dark chocolate, coconut, vanilla, cocoa butter, and black cassis. Well integrated on the tannins front (7/10) and full bodied. Lovely texture, real silky with notes of dark berries, dark sweet spices, milk chocolate, and a little floral too. Long and lingering finish but still a baby.
This is made up of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged for 20 months in 100% new French oak barrels.
