2014 Boich Family Cellar Estate Syrah

Deep and dark ruby red. One of the most interesting and complex syrahs we have tried out of napa. Loving these mountain juices. The attack on the nose started out smoky with hints of tobacco, spices and lots of herbs. Both savory and dried. A bit of dark dried berries too. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Well balanced and restrained too. A bit smoky and gamey on the palate with a dried dark fruit undertones. Layers of earthiness, spices and cigar box. Long finish with a rocky and cedar like touch.
All fruit is from the Wall Road Terrace vineyard on the estate property in Mount Veeder. Only 65 cases produced.
