2013 Two Shepherds Pastoral Blanc
Tasting Note:July 08, 2016
First of the whites from Two Shepherds Wine. Clear and pale yellow. Great start to the nose with some white floral notes, and spices (like cloves). Moderate acidity (6.5/10) and light to moderate body. Day one palate was rather enjoyable with star fruits, some citrus and acidic apples. Long finish that hangs around.
White Rhone blend of 50% Roussanne, 25% Marsanne, 13% Viognier, 6% Grenache Blanc, and 6% Grenache Gris all from the Saralee's Vineyard in Russian River Valley. Aged between six to nine months in neutral oak, four of those months on the lees.
