Medium garnet with a hint of ruby. Mix of flowers and dark berries on the nose with a little bit of spices. Medium bodied with quite a bit of acidity and medium tannins (6/10). A bit savory on the palate with some black currants and structured minerality. Long and dry finish.
Made out of 100% Sagrantino from Montelfaco in Umbria, just north of Rome. Aged for six months in large 600L barrels, before aging for 18 months in oak barrels. Once barrel aging is complete it is aged for 12 months in glass lined concrete vats and then 12 months in bottle.
