2015 Vermeil Wines Petite Sirah

Fifth wine at the tasting bar. Deep purplish ruby red that completely coats the glass. Dark nose composed of black and red berries, a little floral and a bit earthy with some spices. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus bodied. A bit earthy on the palate with some black raspberries, herbs and light baking spices. Medium plus to long finish.
Made up of 100% Petite Sirah from the Frediani Vineyard in Calistoga. Aged for 21 months in 35% new French oak.
