2015 Reverie II Cabernet Franc
Deep and dark purplish ruby red. A bit of raspberries and strawberries on the nose with some baking spices and a touch of cassis. Medium plus and dry tannins (7.5/10) with a full body. Rich palate with layers of blackberries, bark, tobacco, dark cherries, crushed gravel, baking spices and great structure throughout. Long and lingering finish.
First winery on our second day in Napa Valley is Reverie II Winery with Austin and Pedals as our hosts. Third red wine is their Cabernet Franc from the Kenefick Ranch Vineyard in Calistoga. Generally aged in over 90% new French oak.

Young and it shows. Medium plus to heavy tannins (6.5+/10) with medium plus body. Elegant palate with cinnamon, spices, black cherries, a touch of coconut, blackberries in the back and crushed rocks. Long finish.
