Medium ruby red. Really odd attack on the nose with a touch of ketchup. Followed with some more normal characteristics of cassis, and a touch of dark berries. A lot smoother than expected. Layers of dark baking spices, light dark cocoa and cinnamon. Moderate tannins (5/10) and pretty dry. Medium bodied and medium finish.
Made up of 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Made primarily of fruit from the To Kalon Vineyard (80%). Aged for 28 months in 55% new French oak. Only 1,894 cases produced.
