Region: Columbia Valley, Washington State, United States of America

Tasting Note:February 25, 2017

Dark ruby core with garnet edges. Tight nose with dusty cherries. Opened up over an hour or so with cinnamon, red berries, anise, a touch savory and light herbaceous notes in the finish. Moderate tannins (6/10) and medium plus bodied. Great acidity and structure. Notes of dark cocoa, red cherries, a touch smokey, floral notes, spices, and a bit of eucalyptus or mint. Very interesting with a dustiness that lingers throughout. Long finish.

This Left Bank Bordeaux-blend is made up of 70.4% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13.3% Merlot, 13.3% Petit Verdot and 3% Malbec. Around 50% of the berries are left uncrushed during fermination. Then lightly pressed prior to aging for 28 months in French oak barrels. Only 330 cases produced.
