Deep and dark ruby red. A little light on the nose, with dark cocoa, black cherries, dust, cherry liquor and anise. Moderate tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Quite a bit of acidity. Black cherries on the palate with dark cocoa, soft plums, menthol and a little gravel near the long finish. Palate got darker with blue and black berries on day two. Give this bottle a couple years to develop and integrate further.

Aged for 24 months in 75% new French oak barrels.
