2015 Bedrock Wine Co. Old Vine Zinfandel
Purplish ruby red. A bit tight on the pop and pour, needed a few minutes to open up nicely. Dark nose with anise, spices, bramble berries, cherries and dark cocoa. Medium plus tannins (6.5/10) with a medium body. Solid minerality on the palate with dried bramble berries, dried cherries, anise, touch of bitter cocoa and a bit woody too. Long finish and excellent value.

The 2015 vintage is lead by 90% Zinfandel with small amounts spread Petite Sirah, Alicante Bouschet, Grenache, Carignan, Mataro and many more.

Complex palate yet tight as well with notes of raw twigs, bramble berries, anise, spices, dried cherries, a touch of alcohol and pepper. Long finish with definite potential to improve once the palate rounds out.
