Deep and dark crimson red. Complex and layered nose with notes of potpourri, purple flowers, baking spices, red cherries, and a savory finish. Nose developed some dirty notes with time. Some heat to start on the palate. Floral notes, some candied berries and baking spices. Moderate tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Long and dry finish. Delicious mountain fruit in the Grenache from Mike Hirby.
