2013 Buccella Cabernet Sauvignon Cuvée Katrina Eileen

Super dark and similar to the 2013 Buccella Cabernet Sauvignon. More complexity on the Katrina Eileen with tons of tobacco, cigar box, toasty with some dark fruits. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Tight and firm, needs time. Dark fruits, cassis, vanilla, dark cocoa and cinnamon. Super extracted and love the mouthfeel. Can only imagine how this will turn out. Super long finish.
Gwen was a fantastic host at Buccella this morning, we were lucky enough to taste through three of the latest releases. This is their flagship bottling made up of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from vineyards on the westside of Yountville. Whole berry fermented and aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak barrels. Only 245 cases produced. Stunning bottling and can easily compete with the best of the best from Napa.
