2012 Crux Winery GSM

First of the two reds from Crux Winery. Deep and dark crimson red core. Nose started off with some red cherries and some forest floor. As it opened up a nuance of purple floral undertones began to develop. Palate was coated with an attack of red cherries. Moderate tannins (5.5/10) with a smooth and silky texture. Moderate body that is carries sweeter red fruits throughout. The sweeter red fruits are almost candy like, almost. Moderate to long finish. Very excited to try this again in the future to see how it develops further.
This is a blend of 52% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 16% Mourvedre, and 2% Petite Sirah. Only 164 cases produced.
