Tasting Note:April 22, 2016

Fifth wine of the tasting and fourth Howell Mountain wine. Solid ruby red with slight herbs and dark berries on the nose. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and max a moderate body. Definitely needs time to open up. Some light mushrooms and dark berries on the attack. Slight heat and acidity in the long finish. Would love to try this in two or three years.

Blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Malbec, 5% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, 5% St. Macaire, and 2% Cabernet Franc.
