2004 Annandale Cavalier
Region: Stellenbosch, Coastal Region, South Africa
Tasting Note:December 17, 2015
Brick red and brown, almost the color of a port. Slightly off putting attack, long liquor smell. Palate was sweet but did well with rich lamb. Smooth and moderate tannins (5.5/10).
Crazy aging on this wine, 92 months in French oak. This is also a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Shiraz.
