2017 Raats Original Chenin Blanc

Second wine at our tasting at Raats Family Wines with Marika. Pale yellow in appearance. Interesting nose with a touch of straw to start before bringin out the citrus and stone fruits. Medium acidity (6.5/10) and light plus bodied. Crisp palate with notes of green apples, lychees, citrus zest and a nice amount of tanginess. Medium plus length finish.
Made up of 100% Chenin Blanc from vines that average 35 years old in soil similar to Table Mountain. Aged on the lees for six months in stainless steel. No oak.
