2015 Addax Tench Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Inky violet purplish red in appearance. Smells like a bakers kitchen with rich caramel, brown sugar and cinnamon followed up by black and blue fruits as well as toasted almonds. Silky smooth tannins but powerful (7.5/10) and full bodied. Almost feels like satin on the palate with blackberries, black juicy plums, dark spices, blueberries, perfume and a bit of dark gravel. Long and lingering finish.
Second stop on day three and finally made it to Napa. We tasted through some wines from Standard Deviation Wines and Addax Wines with Josh and Cheryl at Brasswood. Last wine up for Addax Wines is their current release Cabernet Sauvignon from the Tench Vineyard in Oakville. Made by Russell Bevan.
