Tasting Note:February 9, 2018

Tasted side by side with the 15 Becklyn NV and 15 Myriad NV.

Super dark purplish red. Tight I start in the nose but then opened up with cassis, blackberries and sweet spices. Medium plus (7.5/10) and rounded full body. Dark fruits on the palate with sweet spices, brown sugar, blueberries, aniseed and crushed gravel. Long and lingering finish.

Very interesting comparison with this bottling and between the 2015 Quivet Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2015 Becklyn Cabernet Sauvignon. The Myriad was explosive to start with tons of juicy notes, but then began to get a bit muted or mature. After going back and forth between the wines it seemed to get a little drowned out (muted), but still an amazing value. Made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.
