Medium ruby red in appearance. Spiced on the nose with some dried flowers as well as raspberries. Medium plus acidity (7/10) and light plus body. Tangy palate with red cherries, raspberries, fresh twigs and spices. Medium plus finish.
Thirteenth wine at the Friday Auction Tasting for the Cape Winemakers Guild and the second red wine. This is made up of 100% Pinot Noir by Charles Hopkins from Ceres Plateau in the Western Cape. Aged for a total of twelve months prior to bottling. Only 50 cases produced with 34 being auctioned in 2018.
