Inky purplish red that completely coats the glass. Deep and dark nose with plush plums, sweet spices, prunes and anise. Rich and full mouthfeel with dark plums, spices black fruits and a little bark. Medium plus to long finish.
Thirty-seventh and last wine at the Friday Auction Tasting for the Cape Winemakers Guild and the twenty-sixth red wine. This bottling was a port style dessert wine made up of 80% Touriga Nacional, 10% Touriga Franca, 6% Souzão and 4% Tinta Barocca by Carel Nel with fruit from the Western Cape. Aged for 12 months in large seasoned barrels. Only 60 cases produced with 36 being auctioned in 2018.
