Medium to dark garnet red. Dark and complex nose with layers of dark flowers, blueberries, spices, vanilla and some dried herbs. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium full bodied. Velvety palate on the front end, smooth and rounded. Layers of blackberries, vanilla and some crushed flowers. Long and lingering finish.
Nineteenth wine at the Friday Auction Tasting for the Cape Winemakers Guild and the eighth red wine. This is made up of 100% Merlot by Miles Mossop from the Bottelary area in the Stellenbosch region. Aged for a total of 22 months prior to bottling. Only 100 cases produced with 40 being auctioned in 2018.
