Tasting Note:September 28, 2018

Light greenish yellow. Elegant nose with flowers and citrus zest, followed up by some lemon curd and a little buttery. Medium acidity (6.5/10) and light plus to medium bodied. Crisp and clean with some zangy citrus fruits and a touch of creaminess. Long and lingering finish.

Eleventh wine at the Friday Auction Tasting for the Cape Winemakers Guild and last still white wine. This is made up of 100% Chardonnay by Morné Vrey from a single vineyard in the Banghoek region of Stellenbosch. Aged for a total of eleven months in second fill barrels prior to bottling. Only 76 cases produced with 50 being auctioned in 2018.
