2015 Vermeil Wines Cabernet Franc
Fourth wine at the tasting bar. Deep ruby red with a bright purplish hue. Layered nose with baking spices, vanilla, dark cocoa, cloves, cassis, tobacco and black raspberries. Medium plus tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Rich and layered palate with notes of vanilla beans, tobacco, dark cocoa, some black pepper and a bit earthy. Long finish.
Made up of 100% Cabernet Franc from the Frediani Vineyard in Calistoga. Aged for 21 months in 60% new French oak. Only 207 cases produced.

Layered and dark nose from the get go with tons of sweet spices, a little herbal and dark berries. Medium plus tannins (7/10) and medium plus to full bodied. Complex palate with cloves, cola, vanilla bean, espresso, white pepper, dark minerality and tons of dark berries. Long and lingering finish.
