2014 Paradigm Paravines
Tasting Note:May 29, 2018
Deep ruby red with purplish hues. Plush and juicy nose with dark spices, blue and black fruits, purple flowers and cinnamon. Drying medium plus tannins (7.5/10) and medium plus to full bodied. Dusty start on the palate with gravel, black fruits, cassis, black currants and dark spices. Long and lingering finish.
First winery on our third day in Napa Valley is Paradigm Winery in Oakville with our amazing host, Mary Ann. Second red was their Paravines which is made up 81% Merlot and 19% Petit Verdot from their estate vineyard in Oakville. This is only the second vintage of this bottling, first being the 2012. 14.5% Alc/Vol.
