2015 Reverie II Special Reserve
Deep purplish ruby red. Complex palate with layers of dark spices, bark, jasmine, violet and some restrained blue and black berries. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Rich and structured with cassis, dust, black fruits, bramble berries, dark flowers and some minerality. Long and lingering finish.
First winery on our second day in Napa Valley is Reverie II Winery with Austin and Pedals as our hosts. Last wine is their Special Reserve bottling made up of around 80% Cabernet Sauvignon with the rest being made up of Merlot and Cabernet Franc from Atlas Peak.

Heavy tannins (7.5/10) and medium plus to full bodied. Rich in the palate with lots of perfume, dark berries, spices, black cherries, cocoa and crushed gravel. A mix of black and blue fruits. Long and semi dry finish.
