Tasting Note:December 17, 2017

Last red wine at Klein Constantia. Deep ruby red with a mix of garnet. Layered nose of spices, a little savory and some cassis. Heavy tannins (7.5/10) with solid acidity and full bodied. Dark berries on the palate with some chalky elements and spices. Dry and long finish.

Made up of 62% Syrah, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 13% Petit Verdot. Aged for 15 months in 50% new French oak 400L barrels.
