First wine we tasted at the Reserve Tasting with Justin at Waterford. Medium golden yellow. Creamy nose with notes of butter, biscuits and apple pie. Medium acidity (6.5/10) and medium bodied. A touch tangy on the palate with notes of citrus fruits and green apples. Medium plus to long finish. Very interesting to see how these white wines age in South Africa.

Made up of 100% Chardonnay from single vineyard on the Waterford Estate from 34 year old vines. Aged for 9 months in 24% new French oak barrels and 3,250 cases produced.

2017 till 2022.
