Tasting Note:December 18, 2017

First wine we tasted at the Reserve Tasting with Justin at Waterford. Medium golden yellow. Creamy nose with notes of butter, biscuits and apple pie. Medium acidity (6.5/10) and medium bodied. A touch tangy on the palate with notes of citrus fruits and green apples. Medium plus to long finish. Very interesting to see how these white wines age in South Africa.

Made up of 100% Chardonnay from 29 year old vines on a single vineyard on the estate. Aged for 12 months in 60% French oak barrels and 1,281 cases produced.
