2015 Volunteer Cabernet Sauvignon
Region: Napa Valley, North Coast, California, United States of America
Tasting Note:August 22, 2017
Interesting Napa Valley Cabernet, honestly tasted blind thought this was very similar to some Paso Robles Cabernets we have reviewed. Deep ruby red. Quite a bit of oak influence on the nose with lots of spices and sweet spices. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium to medium plus bodied. Rich palate with a spicy kick. Some vanilla, cinnamon, anise, cassis, black fruits, cherry pie and a bit toasted too. A touch of heat throughout. Medium plus finish.
Made up of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon with 2% Zinfandel and 2% Petite Sirah.
