Tasting Note:August 27, 2017

Only the second vintage of Maze we have tried, last being the 2010. Deep purplish ruby red. Layered and Rich nose with dark spices, dark raspberries, cinnamon, brown sugar, a touch of anise and Asian five spices. Heavy tannins (7/10) and full bodied. Rich palate with tons of structure. Voluptuous with notes of tobacco, dried violets, more floral notes, bramble berries and a ton of sweet spices. Long and lingering finish. Definitely has quite a bit of potential.

All the fruit in this bottling is from the Stagecoach Vineyard and is 100% Caberent Sauvignon. Aged in 100% new French oak and only 630 cases produced.
