Tasting Note:August 5, 2017

First of the five blind tasted reds.

Medium to deep garnet red with slight bricking on the edges. Barnyard funk on the attack of the nose with chalk, some greenery, leather, gamey notes, a touch floral and a little petrol too. Rounded and well integrated tannins (5.5/10) and medium to medium plus bodied. Well structured with balanced acidity. Light cherries on the palate, cherry tomato, earthy and some herbs. Dry medium plus finish.

Bordeaux-blend made up of 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, and 12% Cabernet Franc.
