2012 Two Shepherds Syrah | Mourvedre
Tasting Note:July 14, 2017
Medium garnet red. Interesting nose with notes of roses, cherries, spices and a touch of gaminess. Medium tannins (5/10) and light to medium bodied. A bit of pepper, red berries, minerality and cleanliness to the palate. A bit elegant but with some savory undertones built in.
Rhone blend of 50% Syrah from the Saralee's Vineyard and 50% Mourvedre from the Windsor Oaks Vineyard. Aged in neutral oak and fermented with native yeast. Only 50 cases produced.
