2014 Acre Merlot
Region: Oakville, Napa Valley, California, United States of America
Mix of deep to medium ruby red with a little garnet on the edges. Very raw on day one. Raw reminds us of wine that is a bit young and shows similar characteristics to that of a wine still in barrel. Additional notes of graphite, wood, and a touch green. Day two it became more integrated with notes of dark blueberries, floral notes, bark and a touch savory. Moderate tannins (6/10) and medium bodied. Soft dark red fruits on the palate with some earthy notes, a touch of smoke, light black fruits and steel wool. Medium length finish, solid Merlot that just needs a touch more time in the bottle.
This is made up of 100% Merlot. Aged in French oak and around 500 cases produced.
2017 till 2023.
