2014 Left Bend Winery Pinot Noir Muns Vineyard
Tasting Note:March 13, 2017
Medium garnet red with some light bricking on the edges. Restrained on the nose with spices, purple floral notes and roses. Moderate acidity (6.5/10) but mouth watering. Medium bodied with notes of red cherries, spiced herbs, a touch savory and smoky with a bit of oaky influence in the finish. A bit darker on the palate on day two. Long and lingering finish. Definitely better on day one.
If everything is the same as the 2013 Muns Vineyard Pinot Noir then this is made up of 100% Pinot Noir. Aged for 19 months in 50% new French oak, additionally this is 20% whole cluster light foot crushed. Around 95 cases, if similar to the 2013.
