Dark ruby red. Very tight nose that finally opened up with some dark cocoa, dark fruits, and a touch of savory undertones like leather. Moderate tannins (6/10) and medium plus bodied. A touch of bitter cocoa on the palate with leather. Dry and long finish.
Since this wine estate is from the Right Bank of Bordeaux it is not classified in the Official Classification of 1855. Within the St. Émilion's classification system, Château Larcis Ducasse, is classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé. This Bordeaux blend is made up of 83% Merlot, and 17% Cabernet Franc. Aged for around 16 to 18 months in 75% new French oak.
