2005 Château Sanctus
Tasting Note:February 17, 2017
Deep garnet red. A bit stinky on the nose with a touch of damp newspaper to start. Blew over to a touch herbaceous, red currants, and red cherries too. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and medium plus bodied. A tad tight on the palate with red cherries, earthy notes and graphite. Very dry and long finish.
Super small, truly a "Garagiste", wine estate in St. Émilion. This Bordeaux blend is made up of 70% Merlot, and 30% Cabernet Franc. Only 1,000 cases produced.
