2014 Rudius Cabernet Franc Extended Aging Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard

Deep and dark purplish ruby red. Tons of black fruits on the nose with layers of black cheery cola and purple floral notes. Heavy tannins (8.5/10) and full bodied. Lots of weight, full bodied with black fruits, peppercorn and floral notes. Lingering finish. Can easily go for 20 years. (94-96+ points)
Barrel tasting Rudius Wines at Hunnicutt with David Grega. Still has around one to three months left in barrel before bottling, truly a unique Cabernet Franc. Will end up being between 30 months and 32 months of aging in around 70% new French oak. Love these wines by Jeff Ames and David Grega.
