Medium ruby red with garnet edges. Seemed a bit older on the nose with notes of forest floor and dried black cherries. Medium tannins (6/10) and medium bodied. Notes of burnt spices, cinnamon, wood, dark raspberries and leather on the palate. Dry medium to medium plus finish.
Made up of 100% Merlot. 80% of which comes from their Estate Vineyard in the Spring Mountain District while the rest comes from the Carneros region. Aged for 18 months in 33% new oak barrels, a mix of both French and American. Only 2,760 cases produced.
