2014 Willful Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Tasting Note:November 4, 2017
Bright medium ruby red. Needed a bit of time to open up. A bit spicy on the nose with pepper, anise, a little floral and red bramble berries. Medium tannins (5/10) balanced with the acidity. Similar on the palate with a light plus body. Roses on the palate with dark strawberries, and white pepper. Brightened up on the palate with time and when it warmed up a bit. Long and lingering finish. Would leave for a year or so before trying again.
Made up of 100% Pinot Noir and a10% new French oak barrels. Only 600 cases produced.
